Workshops & seminars
Hour-long sessions on the BRACE method, resilience, wellness, and life skills — led by counselors, teachers, officers, clergy, and everyday people with a testimony.
Free · Open to allBRACE First helps single-parent households, low-income families, veterans, and anyone facing sudden change learn to cope, grow, and move forward — through the BRACE method: Breathe, Reflect, Ask, Concentrate, Educate.

"What you're going through is nothing you can't get through."
Our promise to every participant
Instead of reacting to unfamiliar situations, we teach a practice that prepares you for what's difficult or unpleasant — and helps you see what to do next.
Pause before you react. A single breath creates the space to respond with intention instead of impulse.
Look honestly at what just happened. Name it. Understanding the moment is the first step through it.
Ask for help. Ask better questions. No one is meant to navigate hard transitions alone.
Focus on the next right step — not the whole mountain. Small, deliberate action rebuilds momentum.
Learn the situation and the resources available. Knowledge turns uncertainty into a path forward.

We stand alongside single-parent households, low-income individuals, families in crisis, veterans, and anyone whose life has just changed in ways they didn't choose.
BRACE First was founded by a veteran. Coming home is its own transition — and we provide safe, transitional housing and wraparound support so our veterans can find their footing again.
